When we talk about human and sex trafficking, it can feel like a heavy, scary topic that only happens in big cities or movies. But the truth is, traffickers often target our northern, rural, and remote communities because they look for places where people might be struggling or isolated.

This one-day workshop is a safe space—completely free of judgment or shame—built to help us protect our relatives. Instead of just reading out of a textbook or looking at boring legal rules, we are going to sit down as a community and talk about the real warning signs to look out for, like tricky online luring tactics or the "Loverboy" method where traffickers pretend to be a perfect boyfriend just to gain control.

Guided by deep empathy, our traditional clan values, and real-world experience, we will learn how to spot early red flags and build a safe, practical plan to help a loved one in trouble. We are all in this together, and by learning these tools, we can keep our young people safe and walk a path of true community care.
